Postdoc (f/m/d) CMS High Granularity Calorimeter

The Institute for Data Processing and Electronics (IPE) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is seeking a Research Scientist to contribute to the CMS experiment at the LHC. The CMS group at IPE is involved in various activities towards the Phase 2 upgrade of the CMS detector, with particular emphasis on DAQ and trigger based on the Serenity FPGA platform for the Tracker and the High Granularity Calorimeter (HGCAL). The group is currently expanding its activities on the HGCAL, spanning the full readout chain from the front-end of the scintillator part of the HGCAL to the back-end system. It is commissioning a test stand for the front-end electronics of the scintillator part of HGCAL and is working towards system validation tasks and beam tests of the full read-out chain.
