PostDoc Mechanical Engineering (f/m/d)

Within the KIT, automation solutions are developed and put into use in a wide range of areas to support scientists. Within the institute IBCS-FMS, solutions for the automation of chemical synthesis processes are being developed and prepared for integration into a fully automated chemical synthesis system. The work includes the automation of various processes that are currently carried out manually and whose automation can be expected to bring considerable advantages by accelerating science. We are looking for people to strengthen the team in various areas of focus, especially for the integration of new components for electrochemical experimentation. We offer the opportunity to work in a highly motivated team that is ready to meet the challenges of digitalization and automation. Through the design and construction of new components, previous limits of experimentation are dissolved. We work closely with software development teams to build powerful systems that support all processes of scientific work - from the design of experiments to their automated execution and evaluation. A special focus will be on the development of components that can be made available to other scientists as Open Hardware (whenever possible).
