Job description
ETP is a leading experimental particle physics group with strong involvement in the Belle II and CMS collaborations. The successful candidate is expected to take a leading role in research and to develop a scientific profile, closely connected to the group’s activities in LHC physics with CMS, detector operation and upgrades, advanced instrumentation, and modern data analysis methods. Beyond current activities, ETP is involved in the preparation of future experimental programs, opening opportunities to contribute to next-generation facilities and detector technologies. The position offers an excellent research environment at KIT, including opportunities for close collaboration within the institute and across the wider particle physics community.

Personal qualification
Applicants should hold a PhD in experimental particle physics (or a closely related field) and have demonstrated strong potential for outstanding scientific achievements. Significant participation in teaching and the supervision of students and PhD candidates is expected.

Salary
The position is to be filled as a civil servant (salary group A13), depending on whether the professional and personal requirements are met.
