Job description

You will be working in an interdisciplinary research team in the framework of a Priority Program of the German Science Foundation (DFG) on the development of cooperative multistable microactuator systems. The main goal is the model-based design and engineering of demonstrator systems based on smart materials such as piezoelectrics and shape memory alloys. Thereby, you are using network methods with physics-based parameters to describe the dynamic performance at the system level. Finite element and lumped element simulation will complement each other to find a balance between detailed analysis and reduced complexity.

Personal qualification

The successful applicant has an University Education (Diploma(Uni)/Master) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Physics and a PhD Degree with an excellent background in FEM and LEM simulation. In addition, we expect experience in constitutive modelling of smart materials and simulation of microactuators using the FEM/LEM tools Comsol, Matlab, Simulink.

Salary

Salary category 13 TV-L, depending on the fulfillment of professional and personal requirements.
