- Development of novel magnetic particles and processes for the isolation of macromolecular biomolecules (RNA, DNA, VLP) on an analytical and industrial scale
- Development of bifunctional magnetic enzyme carriers for electrobiotechnology
- Development of new coating methods for magnetic particles
- Development and application of novel biotechnological diagnostic methods
- Reactor and process design using modern design and simulation tools
- Use of automated experimental techniques and DOE tools
The ideal candidate(f/m/d) should hold a Master’s and PhD Degree in Bioengineering or Chemical Engineering and have a firm background in Bioprocess Engineering. Knowledge in the development of novel magnetic particles and the isolation of macromolecular biomolecules is expected. Familiarity with bifunctional magnetic enzyme carriers is essential. Previous experience in several of the following topics would be beneficial: Knowledge in electrochemistry and related characterization techniques, coating methods for magnetic particles, applications of novel biotechnological diagnostic methods, reactor and process design using modern design and simulation tools, automated experimental techniques and DOE tools. Strong motivation for research and good experimental skills are highly desirable. Potential candidates (f/m/d) should be able to demonstrate intrinsic eagerness to learn. Individuals must possess excellent written and oral proficiency in English and organizational skills. In addition, German language proficiency would be beneficial. Furthermore, the candidate (f/m/d) should demonstrate the ability to work independently and as team leader.
Salary category 13, depending on the fulfillment of professional and personal requirements.
