Institut für Produktionstechnik (WBK)

Ihre Aufgaben

HMC still stays behind its expectations in industrial application scenarios, especially for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). System integration is still too costly and labor-intensive. HMC systems currently lack of systematical quality control methods of collaboration process for flexible pro-duction systems. Therefore, a closed-loop quality control mechanism for HMC systems shall be developed and evaluated jointly with industrial partners.

This Sino-German program is designed for training you to an independent thinker in the industrial context. We cultivate technical expertise together with soft skills. From day one, you are working on a Sino-German project in the field of AI-enabled human-machine collaboration (HMC). The position pro-vides opportunities to apply your skillset in industry consulting projects, together with experienced international colleagues. This position involves regular alternating six-month stays at our branch office in Suzhou and in Karlsruhe.

As part of your work at the Institute, you will have the opportunity to do a doctorate and to spend several weeks abroad, e.g. in the USA and the People's Republic of China.
